“Simon Peter said to them, “Make Mary leave us, for females don’t deserve life.” Jesus said, “Look, I will guide her to make her male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you males.  For every female who makes herself male will enter the domain of Heaven.” 

Peter is thinking carnally, not spiritually.  When the children of Israel broke God’s spiritual law, which Moses illustrated as he came down off the mount, they place themselves under the carnal law, which was a figure of God’s spiritual law (Hebrews 9:9,10).  Under religious law, the woman is to be subject to the man. The male symbolizes the inner being. The female symbolizes the flesh. The flesh is to be subject to the inner being. 

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”  Genesis 1:27 

God’s image is spiritual. We are all spiritually male and female. We are male in that we have the ability to sow spiritual seed by spiritual energy. We are female in that we serve as a habitat for this energized seed. Our physical flesh body is spiritually female— “made of a woman, made under the law.”  But we also have a spiritual flesh body, formed inside of our physical flesh body. This is the female that doesn’t deserve life because this flesh, formed by false beliefs, destroys spiritual life. Truth, which is male, is life. To gain spiritual life, this spiritual flesh, which is female, must be removed through a spiritual circumcision.

“Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, and take away the foreskins of your heart…” Jeremiah 4:4

Through which we become a living spirit, which is male.

“For every female who makes herself male will enter the domain of Heaven.”
