“And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” Revelation 17:5. The Catholic Church. The Mother Church, which gave birth to two harlots.
The word “church” first appears in the book of Matthew: “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18. Peter means a (piece of) rock, the foundation of this spiritual church. But Paul would lay his own foundation, through his own doctrine, a foundation of sand, upon which the physical churches will be built. Let’s take a look at who built the first temple. It was not David. Solomon built the first house of the Lord. He had 700 wives and 300 concubines, which equals 1000; a number that points us to Saul, not David. “Saul slew his thousands, and David his ten thousands.” 1 Samuel 29:5
When the children of Israel were taxed to make a choice between Samuel, which means heard of God and Saul, which means to demand, they chose Saul. They wanted to be like the other nations, demanding a king rule them, rather than be led by God through direct communication. “And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people, in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.” 1 Samuel 8:7. Verses 9 through 17 show us the manner in which this king will reign over the people, revealing how the Church rules its people: “He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants.” The sheep symbolize the flock or congregation. To take the tenth of the sheep is requiring them to pay ten percent of their income to the Church.
“ Israel wanted a king to judge them, and fight their battles for them, just as people want their religious leaders to decide what is right and wrong, so they don’t have to battle with these decisions themselves. We have long since forgotten how to trust in and take direction from our internal anointing, which guides us into the light of truth through the power of our holy spirit. We prefer to have the unholy spirit of fear rule our mind and tell us lies, then to allow the holy spirit of our heart to bring us the truth that will result in a spiritual and physical freedom that seems to petrify us. Saul was the king that ruled over Israel of Judaism, but he also represents a spirit that rules over Israel of the Gentiles. With a new Israel came a new Saul. The name has changed, but the spirit remains the same. Paul, referred to as an Apostle to the Gentiles, was not chosen to be among the twelve so that we may see that there are two foundations that have been laid. One foundation has twelve pillars, represented by the twelve apostles, the foundation upon which the holy city of Jerusalem is built. The other foundation has one pillar, represented by the one apostle, Paul, upon which the city of Babylon is built. Paul laid his foundation through the words that he spoke, mixing carnal law with spiritual truth; mixing milk with meat, which is unlawful. It is the cause of all the confusion and dissension among Christians today. The word Babylon means confusion.”
THE BIBLE DECODED: breaking the ancient code; “ Israel of the Gentiles”
The Jews would do the same thing as there ancestors, demanding a Messiah king that would restore the literal kingdom of Israel to its former glory. As their ancestors rejected Samuel, they would reject Messiah, who spoke only of the restoration of the spiritual kingdom within. It’s time to rend our spiritual kingdom from Saul and return it to David. It is time to reject the soul-destroying doctrine of Paul and accept the soul-saving doctrine of Jesus, as it is written, “To translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah…” 2 Samuel 3:10
The Church, founded upon Paul’s false doctrine, is Babylon the Great, whose judgment has come: “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached into heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.” Revelation 18:4,5
